Lhasa Yangbajing Travel Guide

Yangbajing, Lhasa, or Yangbajing Town, is located in the Yangbajing Basin, more than 90 kilometers away from Lhasa, and is famous for its geothermal resources. The Yangbajing Basin is a narrow belt-shaped fault basin on the southern edge of the Nyainqentangla Mountains, extending from northeast to southwest, nearly 90 kilometers long, 1 to 10 kilometers wide, and covering an area of about 450 kilometers. The peaks on both sides of the basin are above 5,500 meters to 6,000 meters above sea level, with modern glaciers on the top of the mountains, and ancient glacial relics are widely distributed in the valleys and foothills.
