Macau Senado Square Travel Guide

Scenic spot introduction:

Senado Square is one of the four major squares in Macau. Many festival celebrations are held here. As the square is surrounded by the most traditional Portuguese scenery in Macau, it has become the most lively place for tourists to gather.

Attractions distribution:

Senado Square is located beside Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, the busiest street in Macau. There is a fountain in the center of the square, commonly known as the "fountain". The entire square is paved with black and white Portuguese gravel, forming a wavy pattern, which is a typical Portuguese style. The buildings around the square (such as the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, the Tourism Bureau, the Post Office and the Holy House of Mercy) are of southern European architectural style, full of exotic customs. The gravel road of the square extends all the way to the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Ruins of St. Paul's.
