Zhaoping Lake is one of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Lakes" in Henan. It is the hometown of Liu Lei, the descendant of Yao in the Xia Dynasty, and the birthplace of the Liu surname in the world. The scenic spot is located 10 kilometers west of Lushan County, Henan Province. It was originally called Zhaoping Reservoir.
