After the failure of the First Revolutionary Civil War, in the early morning of December 11, 1927, Zhang Tailei, Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and comrades such as Ye Ting, Ye Jianying, Su Zhaozheng, Nie Rongzhen, and Xu Xiangqian led the Guangzhou Uprising (more than 150 Korean comrades including Cui Yongjian and Soviet Consulate staff in Guangzhou also participated in the uprising), and established the Guangzhou Soviet Government - "Guangzhou Commune". Due to the disparity in strength between the enemy and us, after three days and three nights of bloody fighting, the uprising unfortunately failed, and more than 5,700 Communists and revolutionary masses were brutally killed in the uprising. The Guangzhou Uprising was a great attempt to establish a people's regime. It was connected with the Nanchang Uprising and the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and became the great beginning of the Chinese Communist Party's independent leadership of the revolutionary war and the creation of the people's army.
