Tianjin Science and Technology Museum is the most advanced in China in terms of its building scale, number of exhibits and service functions. It is the earliest large-scale modern comprehensive science and technology facility built in China. The museum is located on Leyuan Road, Hexi District, covering an area of nearly 20,000 square meters.

Tianjin Science and Technology Museum consists of exhibition halls, multi-functional planetariums, lecture halls, training classrooms, etc. There are 13 exhibition areas according to different disciplines and professional technical categories, with a total of more than 300 exhibits. The first floor exhibition area is divided into the hands-on and brain-stimulating park, World of Mechanics Exhibition Area , Science and Technology Celebrity Park, Tiandi Wanxiang Exhibition Area , Communications and Information Exhibition Area , Transportation and Aerospace Exhibition Area , Food and Nutrition Exhibition Area, The Mystery of Magnetoelectricity Exhibition Area The second floor exhibition area is divided into Mathematics Tour , Optical Wonders Exhibition Area , Human Science Exhibition Area , Computer and Machinery Exhibition Area , Machinery and Robotics Exhibition Area , Acoustic Exploration Exhibition Area , Life and Science Exhibition Area, Teaching Hall , Energy and Materials Exhibition Area The third floor is a spherical planetarium (also known as Space Theater ), with “ Astronomy Knowledge Gallery ", which is equipped with a tilted aluminum skylight and planetarium, 360-degree full-sky dome movie projection system and various projection equipment.
