The Opium War Museum is a special museum that is both commemorative and relic-based. It houses historical evidence of the Opium War period, such as Lin Zexu's opium-burning pool and the former site of Humen Fort.

The Opium War Museum was formerly the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall established in 1957. The museum area is divided into three parts: the main museum, the Shajiao Fort Management Office and the Weiyuan Fort Management Office. In addition to collecting, researching and displaying cultural relics and historical materials about Lin Zexu's opium destruction and the Opium War, and protecting Lin Zexu's opium destruction pool, the former site of the Humen Fort and related cultural relics, the museum also gives full play to the museum's propaganda, collection and research functions, and carries out patriotic propaganda and education for the audience through displays, exhibitions, explanations, and video screenings.

The museum is located at No. 88 Jiefang Road, Humen Town, Dongguan. You can take the Humen → Shatin Town bus and get off at the end of Jiefang Road.
