Beijing Guanfu Museum is the first private museum in New China. It was established with government approval on October 30, 1996. Mr. Ma Weidu is the founder. The museum holds various exhibitions and lectures all year round. The exhibitions focus on open formats, emphasize the communication between people and history, and highlight the affinity of traditional culture. In addition, Guanfu Museum has local museums in Hangzhou, Zhejiang and Xiamen, Fujian.
