West Lake Park is a famous classical garden in eastern Guangdong and one of the 36 West Lakes in China. The park is located in the northwest of Chaozhou City, with Hulu Mountain behind it and West Lake in front of it. Hulu Mountain is more than 50 feet high and is named after its shape that resembles a lying gourd. A lake was built at the foot of the mountain, so it was named West Lake Mountain or Lake Mountain. It was also called Silver Mountain in the old days. It stands opposite to Gold Mountain and is a barrier to the northwest of Chaozhou City. Chaozhou West Lake The mountains are verdant and the lake is green, while the mountains are blue. In the past, it was the moat of the ancient city of Chaozhou, commonly known as the "moat pool". The mountains are covered with green peaks, jagged rocks, deep caves, ancient trees, and pavilions. It is a famous historical site in Chaozhou with a long history.
