Yellowstone National Park, also known as Yellowstone Park for short, was established in 1872 and is the world's first national park. Yellowstone Park is located in the northwest corner of Wyoming in the Midwestern United States, and extends northwest to Idaho and Montana, covering an area of 7,988 square kilometers. This area was originally a sacred place for Indians, but due to the excavation of the American explorers Lewis and Clark, it became the world's earliest national park. It was listed as a World Natural Heritage Site in 1978.

The main road in Yellowstone Park, the Grand Loop Road, is 142 miles (229 kilometers) long, encircling the heart of the park and connecting the five entrances to the park. Another 12-mile (19-kilometer) long road runs from Norris to Canyon, connecting the east and west roads of the Grand Loop, making the Grand Loop Road form a figure 8.

Best time to visit:

From the end of June to August, short-sleeved cotton T-shirts, shorts or light pants are essential. If you want to engage in outdoor activities, it is best to add a thin jacket. From December to early March is winter, boots, thick socks, life jackets, gloves, and hats are required.

How to get there:

Due to the long distance and inconvenient transportation, tourists usually join tour groups. Self-guided travelers can refer to the following routes: 1. Take a flight to Billings, Montana, and take Highway 212 via the Beartooth Highway, which is known as the "most beautiful highway in the United States", about 208 kilometers from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park.

2. Take a flight to Bozeman, Montana, and take Highway 90 to Gardiner, about 127 kilometers from the north entrance. Take Highway 191 to the west entrance, about 145 kilometers. There are many hotels available for accommodation at both the north and west entrances.

3. Take a flight to Cody City, Wyoming, which is about 85 kilometers from the east entrance.

4. Take a flight to Salt Lake City, Utah, and then take a bus from the south entrance to Yellowstone Park, about 628 kilometers.
