The Imperial City Root Heritage Park was built on the site of the "East Imperial City Root", the second most important city wall in Beijing during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It borders the North and South Heyan Streets in the west, Chenguang Street in the east, and stretches from East Chang'an Street in the south to Ping'an Street in the north. 2.4 kilometers, with an average width of 29 meters, like a green ribbon connecting the Forbidden City and Wangfujing Business District. Huangchenggen Ruins Park is a strip of public green space set up along the direction of the 200-meter-long city wall ruins. This green space is divided into five functional areas: the Old Beijing Nanchenggen Cultural District, the Modern Sculpture Park, the Dongbianmen Corner Tower Citizen Leisure Area, the Memorial Forest of the City Tower Heritage Park, and the Beijing Station South Exit and Square. There is a tour bus at the entrance of the Wangfujing Arts and Crafts Building that circles the Huangchenggen Heritage Park. There is a tour guide on the bus who can drive at any time. The fare is 10 yuan.
Flowering period: March-April: magnolia, forsythia, jasmine, crabapple, peach, purple-leaf plum. May–November: rose season. July–August: Hostas. July–September: Crape myrtle.
