Taixing New Fourth Army Huangqiao Battle Memorial Hall It was built to commemorate the Huangqiao Battle, one of the most famous battles since the reorganization of the New Fourth Army in 1940. It is a national patriotic education demonstration base and one of the 100 classic red tourism scenic spots in China. The Huangqiao Battle, also known as the Huangqiao Mutiny, was a battle launched by the Communist Party in the Suzhong region against the National Revolutionary Army stationed there in October 1940 in order to expand its base. During this period, Chen Yi, Su Yu, Chen Pixian and other New Fourth Army leaders worked and stayed here.
