The Pizhou Huaihai Battle Nianzhuangwei Battle Memorial Hall was built to commemorate the Nianzhuangwei Battle that encircled and annihilated the Kuomintang's Seventh Corps from November 6 to 22, 1948. Nianzhuang is a famous battlefield in the Huaihai Campaign. The Nianzhuang battle resulted in the complete annihilation of Huang Baitao's one regiment, five military headquarters, and ten entire divisions totaling more than 100,000 people. This ended the first stage of the Huaihai Campaign and set the stage for the entire campaign. The victory laid the foundation and wrote a glorious page in the history of China's revolutionary war.
