Pizhou Wang Jie Memorial Hall was built specifically to commemorate the great communist fighter Wang Jie, and Pizhou was also the place where Wang Jie died. Wang Jie is a communist fighter who was inscribed by Chairman Mao as "First, not afraid of hardship; second, not afraid of death." In 1965, he was selected by the army to Zhanglou, Pi County, with the task of training militiamen to lay landmines.
