Scenic spot introduction:

Gaoyou Zhenguo Temple is known as the "Pearl on the Canal" and the "Big Wild Goose Pagoda of the South". It is the only temple located on the island in the middle of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Zhenguo Temple is the place where Jie Mao, the younger brother of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty, practiced meditation. All dynasties have repaired the temple, which is very large in scale, magnificent and prosperous. Today's Zhenguo Temple is based on the World Heritage Tang Dynasty ancient pagoda. Among the ancient pagodas in the country, there are only two square ancient pagodas. One is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, and the other is the Zhenguo Temple Pagoda in Gaoyou. The surging canal water sets off the ancient tower, and the scenery is even more beautiful. It also provides a good place for tourists to rest on the water.
