Located in the southeast of Macau, the Macau A-Ma Temple, also known as the Tin Hau Temple, is one of the famous oriental temples in Macau and the oldest of the three ancient temples in Macau (A-Ma Temple, Guanyin Hall, and Lianfeng Temple), with a history of more than 500 years. The temple is backed by mountains and faces the sea, surrounded by towering ancient trees and beautiful scenery, and is a must-see for many tourists. The A-Ma Temple was originally called Niangma Temple, Tianfei Temple or Haijue Temple, and was later named "A-Ma Temple". The Chinese commonly call it "A-Ma Temple". The square in front of the A-Ma Temple is where the Portuguese first landed in Macau, and it is the starting point of the integration of Chinese and Portuguese cultures. The Portuguese gravel in front of the A-Ma Temple is in sharp contrast to the Chinese design of the A-Ma Temple, which just reflects the characteristics of the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.
