Scenic spot introduction:
Zhenru Temple is located at the north end of Zhenru Town, Putuo District, Shanghai. It covers an area of nearly 15 mu and has a construction area of 1,370 square meters. It is a famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. It was originally named "Wanshou Temple" and commonly known as "Big Temple". It is a national cultural relic protection unit. There have been many temples in Putuo District, Shanghai in history, but most of them have been abandoned. Among the remaining temples, Zhenru Temple is the earliest and most influential. During the Jiading period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1208-1224), the monk Yong'an built Zhenru Temple in Guanchang (near today's Dachang). In the seventh year of Yuan Yanyou (1320), the monk Miaoxin moved it to the current site on the northeast side of the intersection of Taopu and Liyuanbang and renamed it Zhenru Temple.Attractions distribution:
