Qu Yuan Temple in Zigui is an ancestral temple commemorating Qu Yuan, a romantic patriotic poet of the Chu State during the Warring States Period. It is also known as the Qing Lie Temple. According to legend, after Qu Yuan sank into the Miluo River, a golden divine fish first swallowed his body and swam to the lake near his hometown. The mouth of Xiangxi River spit out again. Qu Yuan's sister buried her brother's body here and settled here. The name Zigui (sister) came from this. Now due to the construction of Gezhouba Dam, Qu Yuan Temple has been moved from Xiangjiaping in the reservoir area to Qu Yuan's hometown Fenghuang Mountain Scenic Area across the river from the Three Gorges Dam.

Qu Yuan Temple was built in the 15th year of Yuanhe (820) in the Tang Dynasty. It was renamed Qing Lie Gong Temple in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was destroyed and repaired many times in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties before it was preserved. When the Gezhouba Water Conservancy Project was built in 1978, it was moved to its current location and rebuilt according to its original appearance. The tourist area covers a total area of ​​500 acres. Among them, the newly built Qu Yuan Temple is nearly three times larger than the Guizhou Qu Yuan Temple, including the main building of Qu Yuan Memorial Hall and the mountain gate. , Quyuan Square, North and South Ancient City Gates, Quyuan's Tomb, Forest of Steles, Quyuan Memorial Hall, etc.
