Danjiangkou Dam is the largest water conservancy project in the Han River Basin. It is located in the urban area of ​​Danjiangkou City, 800 meters downstream of the confluence of the Han River and its tributary Danjiang River. The hydraulic structures of the project consist of a concrete dam, power plant building, ship lift lifting system and two water diversion channels 30 kilometers upstream. Climbing to the top of the dam, you can have a bird's-eye view of the urban area of ​​Danjiangkou, with row upon row of buildings, green mountains, clear water, white walls and black tiles. Looking up into the distance, Wudang Mountain faintly reappears. Looking back, we can see the towering dam locking the Han River and the Danjiangkou Reservoir with vast expanse of blue waves. It forms a gorgeous and colorful picture.
