Taizhou Qiaoyuan Tourism Guide

Scenic spot introduction:
Taizhou Qiaoyuan is known as the "Qiao Family Courtyard in Northern Jiangsu". It is the earliest existing classical garden in northern Jiangsu. It is known as the scenic spot of Wuling and the first garden in Huaizuo. The history of Qiao Garden can be traced back to the Rishe Garden during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It was a private garden built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It was later owned by Qiao Songnian, the salt transport envoy to the Huaihe River. It was built and abandoned several times, and the name of the garden was different in each period. As the garden changes owners frequently, the scenery in the garden also changes. In particular, the scenic spots pay attention to the arrangement of flowers and trees, and the naming of each building is often related to this. Therefore, the cultural connotation of Qiaoyuan is extremely rich.In the garden, the rocks, valleys, forests and springs echo each other, the pavilions and pavilions complement each other, and the flowers, plants, pines and bamboos are interspersed with clear layers. "The office is located in the north, with a pool in the middle, rockeries facing each other, caves hiding rocks, stone beams lying on waves, etc., all composed of very simple objects, not falling into the usual routine, and creating a new scene." Tourists and citizens can "not leave the city" You can enjoy the beauty of mountains and rivers by staying outside, and you can enjoy the beauty of forests and springs by living in a busy city."
