Tongchuan Yaowang Mountain Scenic Area is named after Sun Simiao, the "King of Medicine". The top of Yaowang Mountain is as flat as a platform and shaped like five fingers. Yaowang Mountain is located on Baojian Road about 1.5 kilometers east of Tongchuan. Its original name is Wutai Mountain and it consists of 5 mountains. Today, there are stone carvings all over the mountain, including more than 40 cliff statues from the Sui and Tang Dynasties, more than 200 steles from past dynasties, Jin and Yuan buildings and large-scale Yuan Dynasty murals, as well as stone pagodas, stone coffins, stone stele squares and many other stone carvings.
