Dafang Jiudongtian Scenic Area in Guizhou is home to almost all typical karst geological phenomena such as dissolved dry caves, underflow caves, and dissolved collapses. It is known as the "Encyclopedia of Chinese Karst" and the "Karst Geological Museum".

Jiudongtian is located in Wuya Village, Maochang Town, 54 kilometers away from Dafang County, Bijie. The scenic area is 23 kilometers long and covers a total area of ​​about 80 square kilometers. The natural vegetation on both sides of the river valley is very rich, the lava landscape is majestic, and wild monkeys inhabit it. When you get off the boat, you can see the various and majestic natural landscapes. About 2 kilometers downstream, there are nine undercurrent "holes". Each "hole" is surrounded by unique karst landscapes, forming undercurrent cave entrances with different styles. The scenery is called the "nine-hole sky" because there are nine skylight openings.
The underground river in Jiudongtian is 6 kilometers long. It expands inside the cave to form multiple cave lakes. The water flow is stable. The box-shaped cut roofs often collapse, forming multiple skylight-like openings of different shapes and sizes. Along the way, the undercurrent alternates between light and dark, forming a majestic and magnificent karst landscape that integrates undercurrents, canyons, caves, overpasses, sinkholes, stone forests, waterfalls, springs, stalactites, curled stones, and biological fossils.
