Tianlong Tunbao in Guizhou is a legacy of the Ming Dynasty and is an important post station and military garrison site famous in history. Tianlong Tun Fort was an important area from the Yuan Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. Most of the historical relics in the fort were preserved from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Walking through Tunpu is like going through history, and every scene and thing can fully show the grand occasion of that year. The traditional costumes and drama performances inherited by local residents bring a unique feeling to every visitor. It is a historical scenic spot rich in local characteristics that cannot be missed.

Tianlong Tunbao is located in Pingba County in the west of Guizhou Province, 72 kilometers away from Guiyang City. The main landscape in the ancient town is stone houses and ancient architectural relics, including the former residence of Shen Wansan, Tianlong Academy, ancient wells, Ming Dynasty post station, Yanwu Hall, Sigong Pavilion, Sanjiao Temple, etc. In order to facilitate tourists to understand the local culture and history, the town has set up cultural wooden signs such as folk songs, a Tunbao life exhibition hall, and a fine stone museum to perform local opera performances. Handmade embroidered shoes and other folk goods are sold in the stone alley. Whether you visit ancient houses or walk in the streets, you can feel the atmosphere of history.

travelling guideline:

1. July to August every year is the peak water season for Huangguoshu Waterfall. Tourists may wish to appreciate the spectacular scenery of the waterfall after visiting Tianlong Tunbao.

2. Customs: Military Nuo in the Ming Dynasty → earth opera, traditional custom of "flying rice".

3. Tea Station can provide free large bowls of tea to tourists.

4. Earth opera is generally performed twice a year, once during the Spring Festival, called "Playing in the New Year"; and the other time in July, when the millet flowers are blooming, called "Dancing Rice Flower God". The plays performed include: "The Romance of the Gods", "The Battle of Tieyang", "The Chronicles of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty", "The Struggle between Chu and Han", "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "The Shandong Rebellion", "Four Horses Conquer the Tang", "Luo "Sweeping through the North", "Second Lower Pass", "Eight Tigers Entering Youzhou", "Five Tigers Conquering the South", "Five Tigers Conquering the West", "Yue Lei Sweeping the North", etc.

How to get there:

Bus route: Take a bus at Guiyang Stadium Passenger Terminal to Anshun South Bus Station, then transfer to the bus to Pingba and get off at Tianlong intersection; after getting off, turn right and walk for 20 minutes, or you can take a three-wheeled motorcycle Go to. There are scenic signs along the road.

Self-driving route: Starting from Guiyang, enter the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway via the Guiyang Ring Expressway, exit from the Tianlong/Zhijindong exit, turn left towards Tianlong; drive along X005-S102 to reach it.
