The Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge is a cross-sea bridge designed, constructed and managed by my country. It starts from Zhengjiadai, Haiyan, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province in the north and ends at Cixi Waterway Bay, Ningbo City in the south. It is 36 kilometers long and is the second largest cross-sea bridge after the Jiaozhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge in Qingdao. It is the third longest bridge in the world after the Lake Pontchartrain Bridge in the United States. After the completion of the bridge, the land distance between Ningbo and Shanghai was shortened by more than 120 kilometers, which greatly relieved the pressure on the Shanghai-Hangzhou and Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressways, forming a two-hour traffic circle between Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai with Shanghai as the center.
