Heilongjiang Bada Island National Nature Reserve is one of the few island-type, river-side national nature reserves in Heilongjiang and even in my country. As an important breeding habitat and migratory stopover for birds, Badha Island is dotted with marshes, with well-developed wetlands of various types, many rare species, and rich biodiversity. It is an important biological resource gene bank. At the same time, it also has rich landscape resources and the historical and cultural heritage of the Hezhen people, one of the "six minor ethnic groups", which has important protection significance.

The Bascha Island Nature Reserve is located 2 kilometers west of the Hezhe Township in Bascha, with a total area of ​​32,104 hectares. The main protection objects of the reserve are animals, meadows, and plant ecosystems, which are home to tens of thousands of more than 20 species including Oriental white storks, white-tailed sea eagles, herons, red-crowned cranes, whooper swans, white-naped cranes, cormorants, and wild ducks. National first- and second-level rare birds, as well as rare fish such as salmon, silver salmon, fine-scaled fish, and squid.
