The former site of the New Fourth Army Headquarters in Huanghuatang was the location of the Central China Bureau of the CPC Central Committee from January 10, 1943 to September 19, 1945. It was here that the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries Liu Shaoqi, Chen Yi, Zhang Yunyi, Luo Binghui and others commanded the Central China battlefield belonging to the Seventh Army. A division, an independent brigade and an eastern Zhejiang guerrilla unit fought bloody battles with the Japanese and puppets, making great contributions to the liberation of the Chinese nation. The Exhibition Room of the Former Military Headquarters of the New Fourth Army still retains the former military headquarters site and the remains of the residences of the leaders of the New Fourth Army. Several physical objects and more than 200 pictures and materials left by the New Fourth Army are on display in the museum. , is a cultural relic protection unit and a patriotism education base in Jiangsu Province.
