Eastern Great Temple is the headquarters of the Huayan Sect in Japan and one of the seven major temples in Nandu. It is located in Zoshicho, Nara City, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It has a history of more than 1,200 years and was listed as a World Cultural Heritage in 1998.

The Garan of Todaiji Temple is centered on the Great Buddha Hall (Golden Hall). Between the middle gate and the south gate are the east and west seven-story pagodas; in the north are the lecture hall, three-sided monk's room, and dining hall; in the west are Jietan Courtyard; in the northwest are Zhengcang Courtyard and Zhuanhui Gate; Huatang), Kaishantang, etc. There are corridors around it.

How to get there:

It takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes to take the JR Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station, and it takes about 40 minutes to take the Kintetsu Kyoto Line Express from Kyoto Station to Kintetsu Nara Station. It takes about 35 minutes to take the Kintetsu Namba/Nara Line Express from Kintetsu Namba Station to Kintetsu Nara Station.
