Jiangxi Matoushan National Nature Reserve has an excellent ecological environment, with a forest coverage rate of 96.3%. The main protection objects are natural evergreen broad-leaved forests and biological diversity with strong originality, including the national key protected plants Torreya longifolia and spider web. Calyx is a unique species in Jiangxi and is particularly precious.

Ma Tou Mountain is located 100 kilometers east of Fuzhou and falls within the Ma Tou Mountain Forest Farm, with a total area of ​​13,866.53 hectares. There are about 2,500 species of higher plants and 1,647 species of medicinal plants in the reserve, of which more than 20 species are nationally protected plants; there are 54 species of nationally protected wild animals.
