Jiangyou Qianyuan Mountain Scenic Area is well-known for its mythology and Taoism. It is known as "the holy place for Taiyi Zhenren to practice alchemy, the cradle of the growth of Prince Nezha, and the fairy mountain for Taoist disciples to make pilgrimages to." Qianyuan Mountain is the main birthplace of "The Romance of the Gods", "The Legend of Nezha" and Taoism in northwest Sichuan. It is also an important Taoist activity center in Jiangyou. Nezha is a magical character in ancient Chinese mythological novels. He is revered by the world for punishing Ao Bing, the third prince of the Dragon King of the East China Sea who committed many evil acts. After careful identification and analysis by Taiwanese Taoists, Qianyuan Mountain was confirmed to be the real main temple of Nezha. It has since become famous all over the world and has become a sacred place in the hearts of believers.

Qianyuan Mountain is located in Hanzeng Town, an important town in Jiangyou, 19 kilometers away from the urban area.
