Scenic spot introduction:
Licheng Huangya Cave is a national forest park integrating natural scenery and revolutionary tradition. It is famous for the fact that the Eighth Route Army established here the earliest and largest arsenal during the Anti-Japanese War and conducted a successful defensive battle - the "Huangyadong Defense Battle". Huangya Cave is located at the northern end of the Taihang Mountains in the northern border of Licheng County, Shanxi Province, and the border between Shanxi and Hebei provinces. The altitude is mostly 1,500-2,000 meters. The scenic area has abrupt peaks, rugged rocks, and the huge energy generated by the relative movement of the earth's crust. The mountains composed of layers of hard red quartz sandstone and shale cut out canyons. This unique and spectacular landform is similar to the world-famous Grand Canyon of Colorado in the United States. Moreover, the mountains, terrain and rock texture here are more suitable for rock climbing. During the Anti-Japanese War, this was the largest military industrial base behind enemy lines in North China; revolutionary leaders such as Zhu De, Peng Dehuai, Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping, and Zuo Quan fought and lived here for a long time; the Huangyadong defense battle shocked China and the world, with casualties of 6:1 between the enemy and us. The brilliant record set an unprecedented record in the history of Sino-Japanese war. Huangyadong's wonderful natural scenery and heroic anti-Japanese war stories make this ancient land both legendary and somewhat mysterious.Attractions distribution:
