Lin Baishui Martyr Cemetery was jointly raised and constructed by Qingpu Village, the martyr's hometown, and Ms. Lin Weijun, the daughter of the martyr living in the United States. Construction started in May 1985 and was completed in August 1986. It is located in Qingpu Village, Qingkou Township, Minhou County, Fujian Province. village. Lin Baishui was a native of Minhou, Fujian (now Fuzhou) and a pioneer in the newspaper industry. In 1901, he served as the chief writer of "Hangzhou Vernacular Newspaper". In the winter of the same year, he went to Shanghai, where he established the China Education Association with Cai Yuanpei and others and organized the Patriotic Society. Later, he studied in Japan, studied law and journalism at Waseda University, and joined the Tongmenghui. After returning to China, he successively served as director of the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Fujian Military Government, secretary of the Presidential Palace in Beijing, and member of the House of Representatives. In August 1926, he was arrested and killed by Zhang Zongchang because he repeatedly criticized the warlord Zhang Zongchang in editorials.
