The park is 2,600 meters long from north to south and 300 to 700 meters wide from east to west, with a total area of ​​2,184 acres. It was formerly the state-owned Chahe Forest Farm. There are more than 180 species of animals and more than 2,000 animals on display in the park. It has the most comprehensive variety of birds in the country and is the only zoo in Shandong Province that has two national treasures: giant pandas and golden monkeys.
