Shanxi Pangquangou National Nature Reserve, the forest area with the greatest economic value in Shanxi, is the world's rare bird brown-eared pheasant unique to China and its habitat. In Pangquangou, with a forest coverage rate of 86%, there is a large area of ​​natural secondary forest of North China larch, which can be called the hometown of North China larch. More than a thousand species of birds, animals and insects thrive here, making it an ecological treasure house. Pangquangou is located at the junction of the northwest of Jiaocheng County and the northeast of Fangshan County, with a total area of ​​10,443.5 hectares. Rafting is only open every summer, and people over 60 years old are not suitable to participate in the rafting project.

Tour route:

1. Dashagou: watch brown-eared pheasants → macaques → cliff carvings → waterfalls; main attractions: special animal breeding, Longquan Waterfall, ancient tree pagoda, Sandie Waterfall, and Three Pillars to the Sky.

2. A 7.5-kilometer forest landscape tour in Badao Valley; main attractions: Lion Sunset, Tianmen Ruiqi, Shibi Chuiqing, Great Wall Cliff, Literary Rock, Stone Pot, Shiniu Guard Mountain, Wild Boar Ridge, Fengdong Stone, Primeval forest.
