How to get there:
You can take a night long-distance bus from Urumqi's Southern Suburb Passenger Station to Aksu. From Aksu, you can rent an off-road vehicle and travel 70 kilometers north to reach Takrak Ranch. Enter the platform tourist area of Tomur Peak Nature Reserve and hike north along the Qionglan River Valley to reach the south slope of Tomur Peak. In 1977, the mountaineering base camp was located at the end of Qiongtailan Glacier, at an altitude of 3,200 meters. The mountaineering base camp is now located at an altitude of 3,900 meters on the West Qiongtailan Glacier. From this camp, you can see Tomur Peak and the Kochikal Peak, which is 6,342 meters above sea level.
