Scenic spot introduction:

Wuhai Manbala Monk Temple means "Medical School" and was the earliest institution of higher learning in western Inner Mongolia to study Mongolian medicine. This temple with a history of more than 100 years is one of the most famous temples in western Inner Mongolia. It has cultivated a large number of Mongolian medical talents who are proficient in medicine and developed dozens of secret Mongolian medicine recipes. Today, Manbala Monk Temple is the only Gelug Sect (Lamaism) religious activity venue in Wuhai area. Every temple fair is crowded with people, and there is also an endless stream of tourists who usually worship and sightsee.

Manbala Monk Temple is located on Tuhai Mountain in La Sengmiao Town, 45 kilometers away from Wuhai City. Now there are 6 large and small Buddhist halls such as the Mahavira Hall and the Dharma Protector Hall, 2 pagodas, Labrang, temple warehouses and more than 100 monks' houses.

How to get there:

Bus route: Take a long-distance bus or train to La Seng Temple, get off and take a taxi to Tuhai Mountain Tourist Area. The temple is located on Tuhai Mountain.

Self-driving route: Leave the Beijing-Tibet Expressway from the Hainan District/Laoshidan exit and drive along S217 to Tuhaishan Tourist Area.
