Scenic spot introduction:

Xinjiang Princess Castle is one of the tallest ancient castles known in China. It was built in the Northern and Southern Dynasties and is located on a high mountain with an altitude of more than 4,000 meters in the Kalaqi Canyon, the throat of the ancient Silk Road. The local Tajiks call it "Kizkurgan", a military project set up to protect traffic safety on the ancient Silk Road. Princess Fort is located about 70 kilometers south of Tashkorgan County.

Attractions distribution:

The ruins of the ancient castle that have been preserved to this day have an east-west earth wall on the south side, 150 meters long and about 10 meters high. The fort wall is built alternately with earth, stones and branches. There are 13 residential remains within the fort wall. Relying on the towering blue sky of Pisiling Daban, it is abrupt and towering, steep and straight, with city walls, heavy gates, crypts and stone chambers.

How to get there:

Find a van driven by a local at the Bus Terminal in Taxkorgan County. Chartering a van costs around 300 yuan. You can basically reach it by driving from Taxkorgan County

to the south and walking about 60 kilometers along the China-Pakistan Highway.
