Yueqing Wang Shipeng Memorial Hall is the only number one scholar in the history of Yueqing and is also an important birthplace of the history and culture of "the hometown of number one scholar". Wang Shipeng (1112-1171), courtesy name Guiling and nickname Meixi, was a famous politician and poet in the Southern Song Dynasty. In the 27th year of Shaoxing (1157), Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty presided over the palace examination. He opposed the ZTE by "taking power" and was Promoted to number one scholar. After becoming an official, he was honest and upright throughout his life. He cared about the country and the people, provided disaster relief and eradicated abuses, and advocated the fight against the Jin Dynasty. He had considerable political achievements. This memorial hall was specially built to commemorate this local historical celebrity. It displays Wang Shipeng's life through his relics, writings and handwriting, and planted more than 1,700 plum blossoms to highlight Wang Shipeng's praised character.

Wang Shipeng Memorial Hall is located in Meixi Village, Danxi Town, north of Yueqing City, covering an area of ​​about 26,000 square meters. The memorial hall is mainly composed of five double-eaves style halls, with a seated statue of Wang Shipeng in the middle, and life stories, poems and inscriptions are displayed inside. There is a stone tablet in the courtyard, which is called the "Imperial Edict" tablet; the corridor on the left is the "Buying Pavilion", and the corridor on the right is the study "Bubu Room". Behind the memorial hall are the Yushi Bridge and the Plum Garden, with a beautiful environment.
