Zhenghe Back Mountain Covered Bridge Travel Guide

Scenic spot introduction:

Zhenghe Houshan Covered Bridge was built in the Ming Dynasty. As a representative of Zhenghe County Covered Bridge, it has entered the list of world cultural heritage of "Fujian and Zhejiang Wooden Arcade Bridges". The corridor bridge has a total length of 41.5 meters, a clear span of 32 meters, a height of 11.15 meters, a width of 5 meters, and 15 corridor houses. It is the wooden arch bridge with the longest single-hole span in northern Fujian.

Attractions distribution:

The tall piers on both sides of the Houshan Covered Bridge are made of stone and serve as the supporting points of the bridge. The main part of the bridge is built with ancient fir cross arches, and the bridge deck is paved with thick horizontal boards. The covered bridge consists of bridge monuments, approach bridges, gallery houses, shrines, girders, flower windows, etc. Although it has become somewhat dilapidated after years of wind and rain, it adds an indescribable ancient charm to it.
