Shuangshui Well Introduction:Jielongqiao Shuangshui Well is one of the old wells in the North Sea, with a history of nearly 200 years. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, water from this well flowed through a water tank next to the well to a large square pool on the seaside for purchase by Chinese and foreign freighters anchored in Beihai Port. This double well is located in the old place of Jielongqiao. It was also called the "Jielongqiao Double Hanging Weighing Well" because two lever devices shaped like "hanging scales" were used to fetch water. In addition to supplying daily water for immigrants, this well also supplied water to foreign ships and contributed to the early development and opening up of the North Sea.
