Introduction to the Buddha statues in the Main Hall: The jade Buddha statue of Sakyamuni located in the middle of the Main Hall is 1.87 meters high and weighs 1,500 kilograms. It is one of the larger jade Buddha statues in my country. This Buddhist system was ushered in from Myanmar and arrived in Chongqing in 1931. At that time, Master Shou Ye, who is now a Chinese American, and lay Buddhists Yan Shunqing and Chen Zhongfu also participated in the protection of the Jade Buddha. On both sides of the Buddha's seat are painted images of eighteen Arhats. The four satin-colored embroidered Vajra banners hanging in front of the Jade Buddha are exquisitely crafted. On them are the full text of the Diamond Sutra entwined and pasted with five-color gold threads, which is rare in the world.
