Introduction to Randen Temple: The former site of Randen Temple is in San'e Mountain, present-day Luodai Ancient Town. It was built in the Kaihuang period of Sui Dynasty (581-600 AD) and was originally named "Xinxiang Temple". It has been repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt since then. After a renovation during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1741-1756), it was renamed "Randeng Temple" because of the burning iron Buddha in the upper hall. It has a history of more than 1,400 years.
In March 1988, Randen Temple was moved to Bajiaojing Street in the ancient town. Inside the temple are the Mountain Gate (including the East Tower), Chuanzhu Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Empress Hall, Main Hall (Luohan Hall), Guanyin Hall, and Randen Ancient Buddha. The hall and other buildings were built as they were originally built, and a large number of inscriptions from the Qing Dynasty are still preserved.
