Introduction to craftsmanship: The Qiang flute is a musical instrument used in the daily life of the Qiang people, with a double tube and six holes. The material for making Qiang flute is alpine arrow bamboo produced in the Minjiang River Valley. It can usually be collected in late autumn and brought home. It is dried on a fire pond and stored for one or two years until it completely turns into dried arrow bamboo. Then it is soaked in clear oil for half a year or a year. After peeling, drilling, painting, decorating, and finally installing double mouthpieces, a Qiang flute is completed. Now, the making of Qiang flute has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage.
