Introduction to the statue of Bodhidharma: The "Statue of Bodhidharma Crossing the River" is engraved on the west cliff of the main hall. The Buddha statue is based on the story of Bodhidharma and Emperor Wu of Liang crossing the river to the Shaolin Temple in Pengshan after they agreed not to agree. The main statue of Bodhidharma is 4.9 meters high. The founder has a fat head and a round face, with protruding facial muscles. His eyes are wide open and bright. He holds a lotus Zen staff in his right hand, a futon and straw sandals hanging on it, and a Buddhist bead in his left hand. The beads can be counted. There is a fish behind him. The waves are rolling, the monk's clothes are rolled up in the wind, his feet are on reeds, he turns around and still stands in the rough waves. His appearance is rare in the world.
