Introduction to Beichuan Earthquake Memorial Hall: Beichuan Earthquake Memorial Hall was selected in 2010 and stood out from 14 design plans of Tongji University in Shanghai. The design of the pavilion is called "Crack". The exterior uses sharp edges where textured rusted steel plates meet the green roof vegetation, showing the building walls when the earth is torn apart. The horizontally extending building shape is matched with long triangular windows, which further strengthens the tension of the form. The "crack" trail that runs between the main building and the auxiliary building is paved with red sandstone, with steel plate dividing lines forming a unified whole with the building facade. The woods and vegetation next to the square inject more life into the originally solemn place, giving it the meaning of memory and hope.
