Introduction to the Junpingquan site: Yan Junping (86 BC - 10 AD) was an important Taoist scholar, thinker and Yi Xue master in the Western Han Dynasty. His original name was Zun, his courtesy name was Zhuangping, and he was a native of Shu County. Legend has it that this well is the site of the innate Bagua pattern spring that emerged from the ground when he used his leftover money to divine water for the villagers. The spring water is clear and sweet, and has always been a source of irrigation water. Later, due to the changes in the canal system in recent decades, the fields were changed to build roads, and the spring was closed, leaving only the edge of the well.
