Haining Museum, established on June 1, 1958, is one of the earlier county-level museums in the province and even the country. There are more than 6,000 items in the museum's collection, which date back to the Majiabang Culture of the Neolithic Age. They include more than 20 categories including ceramics, jade, calligraphy and painting, etc., with rich layers and complete structures, especially porcelain and jade. The lantern exhibition hall in the museum is the only exhibition venue with the theme of Kipshi lanterns in the city. While displaying the production technology and history, it also gathers the fine products of Kipshi lanterns.
