Introduction to the Mordo Temple Fair: According to legend, there was a strong and brave Tibetan young man at the foot of the Mordo Mountains who acted bravely and upheld justice. He was once recruited by the Tubo Dynasty, led an expedition to fight against Barbu's invasion, returned to the dynasty with his troops, and returned in triumph. In order to respect his loyalty and bravery, later generations changed the name of Mount Geron to Mount Merdo and built a temple at the foot of the mountain to honor his statue. Since then, Mount Merduo has become the sacred mountain of freedom of the Bon religion, and General Merduo has become the patron saint of Jiarong area. On the birthday of General Mordo on the tenth day of the seventh lunar month, people in Tibetan areas gather at the Mordo Temple from all over the country to pay homage to General Mordo, offer incense and pay their wishes, and go to the sacred mountain of Mordo.
