Scenic spot introduction:
Jiutangou in Qujiang is a several-kilometer-long valley scattered in the green mountains. There are remains of Quaternary ancient glaciers in the valley. It is named after the "nine altars" (immortal altar, community altar, longevity altar, nine altars, purple altar, yellow altar, gold altar, blessing altar and jade altar) in the ditch. The mouth of Jiutan Valley is about 100 meters wide and the narrowest point is about 15 meters. It is spread in the northwest-southeast direction. It is a unique landform created by the movement of glaciers. Visitors climb up the stairs and see nearly a hundred "ice buckets" and "ice mortars" of different sizes on the porphyritic granite in the mountain stream that slowly goes up the mountain, which is breathtaking. There is a teahouse in the scenic area, and there is a "Xi'er Bridge" next to the building. According to legend, it was the place where a great scholar from Quzhou in the Song Dynasty lived in seclusion. When you step into the stream, you can see swimming fish, including grouper, jumping fish, catfish, crabs, shrimps, etc. There are hundreds of acres of chestnut, pomegranate, pomelo orchards and dozens of acres of animal paradise on the mountain. It is an excellent place for tourists to pick fresh fruits, have leisure and entertainment, and watch the glacier landforms.
