Introduction to the Buddha statues on the pagoda: They are enshrined in niches and formed in a circle on the outside of the railings. As the area shrinks layer by layer, the number of Buddha statues also decreases layer by layer. There are 104 niches on the first floor (lowest floor) of the tower, 104 on the second floor, 88 on the third floor, 72 on the fourth floor, and 64 on the fifth floor, for a total of 432 Buddha statues. These Buddha statues are similar, but their gestures (prints) are subtly different.
