Introduction to Youtao Lingsi: In the twenty-seventh year of Wanli (1599), the eunuch Pan Xiang came to the town to supervise the construction of the blue and white dragon vat. The vat had not been fired for a long time, so Pan whipped and even killed the porcelain workers. The kiln master Tong Bin (from the village) was filled with indignation when he saw the situation. In order to save other porcelain workers, he bravely fought against Pan Xiang, and finally jumped into the kiln fire in protest. The kiln workers were extremely sad and angry. Tong Bin's death aroused the indignation of the porcelain workers. People stood up and shouted for Pan Xiang to pay for his life, which scared Pan Xiang and fled back to the capital. In order to quell the civil unrest and ease people's hearts, the government built the "You Tao Ling Temple" on the east side of the imperial kiln factory and erected a temple for Tong Bin, who was worshiped as the "Wind and Fire Immortal".
