Introduction to the old site: During the period when the Soviet Union was stationed in Xiaoyuan, the provincial Soviet Union promulgated a series of important laws and regulations, and established an arsenal, a mint, a clothing factory, an Industrial and Agricultural Bank of China, a Red Hospital, a Lenin School, and a Red Army Sanatorium. It developed the military and civilian industries in the Soviet area and shattered the enemy's economic blockade. During this period, various undertakings in the Soviet Area developed vigorously, and the Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi base areas developed and expanded. By 1933, nearly 30 border counties were under the jurisdiction of the Soviet Area. This was the heyday of the Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi Soviet Areas. After the failure of the fourth siege, the Kuomintang assembled heavy troops to besiege Xiaoyuan in December 1933. In January 1934, the Provincial Soviet Government and the Provincial Party Committee together withdrew from Xiaoyuan and moved to the Tonggu and Youju areas.
